Below is everything I learned at the New Media Institute.
During Spring 2016, I took New Media Production (NMIX 4110) at UGA, where I learned essential skills in web development including HTML, CSS, PHP, jquery, and WordPress.
During Fall 2016, I took New Media Production (NMIX 4111) at UGA, where I learned about visual design, UX/UI, photography, and typography. In addition, I furthered my knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
During Spring 2017, I had the opportunity to work with a team of New Media students to develop a web application for the UGA Department of Kinesiology. Concussions are severely underreported in college sports, and our goal was to create an engaging web app that would change the stigma behind reporting concussions for NCAA college athletes.
As HeadStrong's Creative & Marketing Director, my main task was to develop HeadStrong's brand image. More specifically, I designed the HeadStrong logo and project handouts. In addition, I coded and designed the project website and wrote the HeadStrong blog post.
